Hi all,

My car was built May 3, 2005. My dealer gladly enabled the Global window feature, the tech also has a Mustang and he did the same thing on my car as worked on his. To no avail.

The global lock feature doesn't work either. I can not lock both the drivers and passenger door via the key. I can't roll the windows up with the key either.

Has this feature been completely discontinued? Why on earth is in still in my manual. As well as the global lock feature which is really handy! Since it's pretty much required to arm the alarm without the motion sensors.

Anyone know of a solution to this, they must have changed some part. This bites.

Thanks

:bang:

Internal control module design change has removed this feature-the tech may be able to pull up the activation menu on his scan tool but it cannot be changed. No reason given by Ford for this change.

This stinks! I know Ford has that nice disclaimer in their documentation that says they can change options at any time, but this is a bunch of poopie!

Does anyone think there is any way to get any of what was paid for this option back from Ford? I for one, probably wouldn't have paid the $200 and something for this if it were just the security system. My car is not a daily driver and has a nice garage to sleep in! I asked the customer servide person on the Ford line yesterday, and they gave me some BS about calling back when their computers are up. Those darn computers are down an awful lot there!

Yep I agree! The tech even said the Lincoln Navigator has this feature and it works like a charm. So why are Mustang owners getting shafted. I paid 38k Cdn for this car and this cool feature is now missing. Along with the locking / unlocking both doors with just a KEY. The person at Ford Customer care in Canada is supposed to call me back, if I don't hear anything I will be calling US Customer care. My dealer is also looking into it, but I fear the worst. I think we're out of luck.

Customer care is useless! I've been on the phone with them several times and they do nothing.
