Anyone else have this problem.....I had my Shaker 500 replaced, part of the TSB about it b/c it was spitting out disks with a "bad disk" error. I got the new one in the car and am getting the same problem. Possibly even more often. It's going back in Thursday. How are the rest of your's working after being replaced?

I wonder if the '06 model will have the B version of the Shaker, or perhaps they'll go with a different manufacture, since they seem to have so many problems with it.

I've got a 6-CD changer (audiophile) in the '04 F150, and I've never had a single problem with being unable to read home-made CDs. I wonder if it's the same brand as the shaker. It sure looks the same.

I have had ZERO problems with my second shaker...
100% works unless the disc is all scratched up.

Mine seems to be fine as well after I replaced it. I think some of you guys need to make sure your CD's are not scratched before you jump into any conclusions. Just bringing this up so you dont go insane and spend most your time at the dealer.

I have learned the shaker dislikes scratched Cds. I have a few cds left over from my hair music days- and it will play them, but if they are nasty scratched- it spits em out.

I have periodic problems with my 500 shaker/discs, but I am just going to live with it, because: (1) I don't want my dash torn apart all the time. (2) Many of you have had numerous replacements, to no avail. (3) I don't believe that there is an 'A' version, and a 'B' version, since problems abound with either. I think it's one version, and that it's a roll of the dice on Ford's part in hoping that they actually get lucky enough to give you a good one. I primarily listen to FM anyway
