I've been holding back for a while... using this forum was the foundation of my research about the Mustang, so I managed to nab myself an X-plan pin and finally have a go at the dealership today.

I went there today, spoke to my salesman and he happily took be to their lot, Galpin Ford of CA. I went into their prep garage and boy was I in aw! I saw several PJ editions (In real life!) Ford GT's and of course GT 500's. Anyway, back to reality...

He drove us around in this giant lot, using his key fob to find the car. It really seemed like a needle-in-a-haystack.

I finally hopped into an 07 Mustang GT 5-speed in Vista Blue and took it for a test drive. It was FAST, smooth and although I only put 3 miles on it, my conclusion was... "Amazing!" I truly now know why everyone here absolutely love these cars. Anyhow, I'm doing a bit more homework before I head back there tomorrow, so I'm seeking a little help from you stang advocates.

My salesman said I was the first one, personally to inquire to him about X-plan, but nonetheless it worked. The 07's have a $1,000.00 Factory Rebate and a $500 X-plan rebate. Which plops my GT Msrp $28,602 to 25,319.65+taxes and fees. Does this sound right? Am I getting a good deal?
I've been a member since April and I felt this was an appropriate first post.

I look forward in researching more into these cars once I have one in my garage and "Let the mods begin!"
