Fuel gauge reading full all the time?

So after my last auto cross outing my fuel gauge decided it only want to read full all the time now. I've disconnected the battery hoping it would reset, no luck, and pulled the fuel pump from the drivers side and it looks OK.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Does any have any other ideas what I should look at?

Thanks!!!

Sounds like the cluster is going bad , on mine it was the fuel gauge and speedo that started acting up. I not sure what year your car is , but on the early years this was quite common. I replaced my whole cluster and upgraded to a GT500 cluster since it was the same price , but you can replace some parts yourself and fix. Do a search and you can find the info ...

Or the fuel sender is stuck. Believe it or not, there's still a float inside the tank that moves up and down with the fuel level. If the float get stuck in the high position, if would read full all the time.

I have a 2006 and the cluster seems to be fine. I'm thinking it may be the float. I ran the auto x with a full tank of gas and it may have beat the hell out of the float (it was a tight course).

Well i think i fixed it. I pulled the main pump a few days ago and nothing. I pulled it and the float on the passenger side and now it appeasers to be working fine.
