Thumbs up

Went to a buddy of mine's shop that he just opened and the facility came with a Mustang Dynometer. Put it up and got 2 stock pulls, best pull was HP 245 with FT-LBS 254 @ 6000 RPM. Does that sound right??? I know you lose a percentage while your on the dyno, but I'm asking for those who went on a dynometer if they got roughly the same numbers. I don't have the sheet scanned cause Im at work, I'll scan the sheet later 2nite and post it...... any opinions?

Sounds a little low to me. I would think it would be more of 265-270 hp and 270-275 trq. Hmmm, don't know for sure though.

Numbers would be low if it were a DynoJet, but prolly right on for a Mustang Dyno.

Bryan (2005redgt) posted his first dyno run on Mustang Dyno at 255rwhp some time back. You might want to do a look-up on him as he had a web site devoted to his car. Should give you some good info also as to his subsequent mods and outcomes. Believe Bryan's car is an automatic.

The two different dynos you see used give different readings, like Wild Stray suggested. You also didn't mention manual or auto, that also changes loss through the drive train.

Also the technique of the dyno operator effects it . And on Mustangs Dyno you have to enter a weight as the drum used electo magnetic resistance. Plus air temp humidity all effect the out come. Is your number adjust for atmosphere and altitude?

yuppers expect about a 11% difference in mustang vs dyno jet. Mine put down 282 rwh and 318 ft lbs on a mustang dyno

Sounds right for a Mustang Dyno with a Manual Tranny with no Mods. However, the Torque looks a bit low. For a frame of reference: My auto was 232 rwhp on the Mustang Dyno stock.

Mustang dynameters do give lower #s than dynojet. My 96GT dynos 245rwhp on a mustang and 267rwhp on a dynojet (supercharger).

So you should expect about the same.

267rwhp is about average from what I've seen for 05 dynojet runs, so you are right in there.
