I got to drive one today....Let's get to the point....It ROCKED!!!!

I am using my '01 as a comparison point.

The clutch felt smooth and seemless with excellent positioning. Steering wheel position is better and feels tighter, a vast improvement.

The shifter was solid as a rock. It felt higher than the '01s. I usually drive with my seat bottom all the way down so I did the same in the '05. I found myself gripping the stalk more than the top of the **** as in the '01 (minds out of the gutter people). The gears engage further to the right, but not out of reach.

It was almost out of gas, so I didn't open it all the way up. I will say that it was very quick, and had power throughout the range. I didn't run it past 3500 RPM, but did not feel like I needed to.

Bottomline: Can't wait to order mine, and am definitely sold on the manual.

LOVE IT!!!!!!

Have to wait till April to order though.

That would be great. I would love to meet even if it is before I get my car (if that is okay with you all of course). How do I find out when/where?

Yeah, I test drove a V6 manual one week ago, and I thought it rocked too!

V6 manual Test Drive

They had 10 of them at the Dealership, and only only one GT. I think that there will be really good deals on them in a month or so....
