How accurate are ETA's?

My car was ordered in October, and was built just before Christmas. My dealer said it would be here this week. Ford Customer Service just told me it had an ETA of Jan. 10th. I have a really hot date on Jan. 8th.

Do cars ever come before their ETAs? What do you think my chances are that it will get to CA 3 days early.

 

My car came in 3 days early in the middle of December.

 

My ETA was the 27th of Dec, it came in late on the 24th, with the holiday on Saturday(25th) and they were closed on the Sunday(26th), I didn't actually get it until the 27th.

The ETA's can be all over the place, but it sure is possible to come early, many of them have.

 

We are pulling for all of you to get them yesterday!

 

I was told while waiting for mine that it is just that an Estimated Time of Arrival and that it could come anywhere from 5 days before or 5 days after, I guess it really depends on the day of the week it is suppose to come in, as in if the ETA is on a Sat it might not make it till Mon. or some crap like that...but from what I've read throughout everyones posts its been coming sooner, mine came the day of, but I think it was sitting there all weekend and the guy that I was working with that orders the cars and checks them into inventory had those days off so it just sat because the rest of everyone didnt want to do anywork that they wouldnt be taking commision on. Call RSM and tell them to notify you the second the truck gets there, they did for Jrabbit. Good Luck.

 

I ordered on 9-17-04 had a priority of 10.I think the dealer was ordering there cars and pushing mine back.That's ok as long as I get it for about 500 over invoice I can hold off.It will spend most of the cold months inside anyway. Had an ETA of the 28th of DEC. Just got off the phone with Ford Customer Service and was told it should be at the dealer anytime now. From what I have seen on TMS most of the ETA's are a week or so off.

 

My ETA was only a couple weeks after expected. And only because of the hold on the Mustangs being delivered to canada.

 

My ETA was Dec 20th car arrived at dealer Dec 15th....... I am pulling for you to have your car for that HOT DATE
