Ordered 10/27...and exactly three months to the day later:

Dealer called me right in the middle of my crunch time at work....but - of course - I made time for him.

Won't be able to pick her up until Saturday morning because the dealer is an hour and a half away....but darn I'm pumped.

My guy told me to hurry because everyone in the shop is just 'ing over it.

One more day -- I gotta last one more day.

 

If I were you, I'd come down with a violent fever tonight and have to miss work tomorrow.

I've got a normally sterling work ethic, but this is a unique situation.

Here...you can borrow one of my preprinted excuse forms. Just have a friend fill in the blanks...

Please excuse ______________ from work today (Friday). He injured his _____________ while jumping on a ______________. It doesn't look that bad, and ____________ should be able to be back at work next Monday. Unless it's a really pretty day, in which case don't look for _____________ until next _______________. Believe me I would bang in sick...but unfortunately I've been running my mouth about this car for sometime now and just about everyone knows its in.

Oh well -- it ain't gonna kill me...close -- but not kill me.

 

Darn, I'm jealous of you! Good luck with your new wheels. Hopefully, I'll get "the call" sometime this Spring or early Summer...
