Well, sorry guys this is my first true high performance so car I'm a little new to this, but not the Mustang because I had a 94 GT before. Anyways me and a couple of my buddies were playing basketball tonight. We finished up around 10pm and not a car was in the parking lot which was hidden from the road and surrounded by trees. they kept egging me on to do a burnout so I decided, hey with 5500 miles on her it's about time to break her in . So instead of the traditional stand still burnout I decided to do a 360 burnout. I revved the RPM's up to about 4,000, cut the wheel to the left and once I felt some spin I let to the clutch got and stomped the accelerator to the floor. Needless to say we all know what happens from there. Went around 5-6 times, can't remember my adrenalin was so high and put on a nice smoke show. The funny part about it was that some kids who I didn't know were there kept egging me on they were about 19 yrs or so.

My first burnout was amazing, I loved it and wish it was filmed so tomorrow night I hopefully can get it filmed and post it on here for you guys to enjoy !! I'm now officially addicted since in other threads some members were telling me to stop babying her, so I did!!! She had to crawl before she walked and now she galloping !! Just thought I share.

Matt

They're so darn soft. I could dig my fingernail into the tire, even before I did the burnout.

It would be easier to do a 360 burnout than a standstill burnout with and auto. Hold the brake down, press the gas in up to about 3500-4000 Rpms' turn the wheel fully either left or right, and as soon as you let go of the brake put it down to the floor and you should have some fun, and make sure the TCS is OFF. As far as a stand still burnout, I don't know. Hope any of that helped.

You have to use a procedure we used to call power braking.

Push the brake slightly then the accelerator. As the car starts to move forward apply a little more pressure to the brake pedal to get the tires spinning. It used to be the front brakes would grab before the rears so it was easy to do. You just have to feather the brake to keep the tires spinning and the car moving very slightly forward.

I would have to disagree... My Auto v6 does Excellent StandStills did one to **** of m girlfriends mom last night. Just hold the break tight, run rpms to about 2500 - 3500 and let her rip.

I thought I messed up first gear or my clutch the other day when I did a small burnout to get onto the freeway. They have the merge area closed and just have a stop sign, so you really have to floor it to merge with traffice. Anyway, I was feathering the clutch a little until I saw my chance then floored it at ~ 2500 RPM. Anyway, I smelled rubber and I had a big smile on my face(wife didnt' though .

Problem was for the rest of the night, it felt like the tranny was a little rough in 1st and I was a little freaked. Next day though it was driving fine again.

Oh no DO NOT do that, I learned with my first car. I "D-Bombed" my car and 1st gear didn't catch and went straight to nuetral, thought I dropped the tranny. Put it in park, turned the car back on and thank god it engaged with 1st and it was okay, but a very scary situation none the less.

And why is it that the girlfriend/wife HATES it when we do this kind of stuff. I told her about my story up above and she didn't say anything but, what were you thinking !! Talk about nagging on me -

in an auto, u can just floor it from a stop with TCS off and it should spin, but if u wanna do a stand stil or get it really spinning, hold a lil pressure on the brake and floor it, then slowly ease up on the brake and turn the wheel
