It finally died...

After 6 years, 3 months, and 39,600 miles, the original battery in my baby died a quick and painless death. I guess I am lucky it lasted this long, seeing how some of y'all had to replace yours within 2 to 3 years.

My battery (original) is on its way out as well. I bought the car new in March 2007. The car has needed a jump three times this year. The most recent of last week. I'll be getting my battery before winter weather hits us in Colorado.

My original dies after a little over 2 years, replaced under warranty and no more problems.

Had to buy my battery sooner than expected. It died for the final time this morning after trying to pump up my tires with air with a aux pump. I got a battery from Advance Auto for $89 including tax and $20 discount.

I went with a new Motorcraft original style from my local Ford dealer. $122 after tax, title, and license. I am a bit **** when it comes to replacement parts for all my Ford vehicles. OEM whenever possible, except for modifications of course. Hopefully this new one will last as long as the original.

I understand where you are coming from. This Autocraft battery I got has a 3 year warranty.

Same here...and was also going to make a thread about it. Bought mine new in March of 2005 and I just replaced the original battery last week. Never fully died, but was on its way out. Slow turn over and my radio was all reset one morning.

mine is a 06 with 63k and still hanging in there. Knock on wood. Lts of short trips will kill a battery quicker

Cool Got An Energizer!

Just replaced our battery after four years of good service. Went with an Energizer 40R with 590 CCA from Sam's Club. It was made by the very same company that makes the original battery for the 2007 Mustangs. Just a bit longer but fits nice just like factory. Cost $75.00 and some change. Plus has an 8-year replacement warranty to boot! CalStang
