Hey guys I got a question....I just had my header gaskets replaced by Carolina speedworks in salisbury NC "incase you want to look them up" they are a mustang shop and they do good work but now I still have a exhaust leak right beside the first bottom bolt on the passenger side .. what could cause this? They told me to bring my car back tomorrow but the guys at the shop don't understand why it's still leaking.... but anyways my question is could my headers be bad or could it be clogged up or something.... here is a picture of where it's leaking.... you can see the black place beside the bottom bolt there and that's where the leak is....

Your header may have a pin hole in it I have seen it on occasions but not a usual thing that you see have them check that also. I mean you know the gasket should be good as long as it didnt get messed up during installation.

The gasket looks kinda bent in that spot where the black spot is... right there in that corner....I think it might have got bent during installation but not sure.... they are going to check it out and fix it

You can tell the gasket is not flat against the head in that area like the rest of the gasket and that's why it's turning black from the exhaust coming out right there....I got under it while the car was running and held my finger there and could feel air coming out from under the gasket, but they are new and shouldn't be doing that

Headers are warped, not flat planed against the head.
Gasket is messed up.
Bolts aren't tight, or something's preventing the bolt from fully seating and tightening. (They look very nice though! )
Head is warped, causing the header to not sit flat, as it's not a flat plane for the header surface.
Might need to double gasket, this sometimes fixes it. No more than that though.
Really that's it, beyond material's missing and causing the leak.
