exclusivity: Parnelli Saleen beats GT500....
There are 348 hp and 388 hp Ford Falcons in Australia (Naturally aspirated 5.4L 4V V8 engines) with 6-speed manual transmissions. I wonder why Ford doesn't make a similar Mustang here in the US that doesn't carry a $20k ADM or require a supercharger.
current 4.6L in GT...
i think the current 4.6L in the GT was more of a financial decision.
by speaking to a few ford experts etc, it makes sense to me that Ford wanted to keep the GT below the psychological level of $30K.
also, keep out the $1000 gas guzzler tax too.
but back to the topic...the PJ 5.0L motor is nice eh???
man....i might want to stroke out my 4.6L 3 or 4 years from now....

According to the specs sheet, it has a 5.0L 3V V8 that makes 400 hp and 390 ft-lb of torque. With a stroke of 3.80" (http://www.saleen.com/saleen_parnelli_specs.htm) it sounds like a stroked 4.6 3V V8 engine and maybe it is slightly bored over.
Standard mod motor bore is 3.552"
3.552" x 3.80" = 301.2 CID or 4.94L
Anything with the name Saleen is one of the best at keeping their value for years, add in a legendary racer a limited edition and the performance and everything else that car has going for it, Unbelievible value that will only keep rising as the years go bye.
