I was gone for a while, busy like heck, got a virus, computer crashed 3 times, had to change the CD drive, but you just made my day guys, relly proud of you two...really great job! Merci beaucoup
Daniel, welcome back!!

Thanks for the compliments, it was an unbelieveable experience and we were extremely excited to share it with you guys.

I think every second word out of our mouths at the event was "Those guys/gals are not going to believe this...."

OK, then that confirms that Ford dropped the ball. With a 2" taller tire than the previous 10 years of Mustangs,
The difference in diameter is actually 1.5"

Incredible work guys! I added a link to the Headlines section of the home page and to the What's New menu.

Did you get the interview on tape?

Brad,

got it on my friends digital recorder, the quality isn't the greatest, it took a lot of work to type up.

Hau was really a nice guy and took the time to answer any questions he could.

The whole interview + the 40 minute pesentation and discusison about the 05 (which was amazing BTW) is on that digital recorder. I think we summarized the main points though.

And yes, Hau Thai-Tang knew we were representing TMS.

One key line I remember from HTT's presentation was "It's very easy to design a $70,000.00 car" You guys have got to realize just how many improvements and upgrades have been done to the '05 Mustang-for basically the price of the 2004. The interior is awsome-I mean they spent the money to bring the shifter closer to the driver by using a linkage. Thats one of the complaints with my Bullitt-shifter too far away. This will be one of the safest cars, crash wise, in the world. Mustang engineers consulted Volvo engineers how to do it. Did Ford have to spend all this money? They sell over a 100,000 'stangs a year-I think the tooling is long paid for. The team bringing the '05 Mustang to life loves Mustangs and really care what we think of it.(HTT admitted he reads internet forums himself)
Does anyone know where I could get a copy of that exciting video that was shown before HTT's presentation? It gave me goosebumps!!

Are you talking about the intro video where the red '05 was driving around at night?

If so, does anyone know where to find it?

I personally would love have that montage of all the classic Mustang commercials, I thought that was amazing. Especially the 60's commercials.

By the way, welcome to the boards, always nice to have another canadian

Not the speed TV one, bullitt3980 is asking for the intro video where Ford had the 2005 Mustang driving around at night, Ford used that video to introduce the '05 at NAIAS

OK, then that confirms that Ford dropped the ball. With a 2" taller tire than the previous 10 years of Mustangs, the tall tire will make the cars wheels look small. Ford should have planned to run 18" wheels on the GT's as rolling stock, not an option.

OK. Let's put this into perspective. You're saying that Ford should have delayed the Mustang until 2006 just because AAI won't be able to handle 18" wheels until then? I don't think so... :notnice:

Definitely :notnice: You'll probably be able get the 18s from the aftermarket anyway.
