Is there any way I can get my exact build date of my 06 Stang? Through the VIN-number or something? Can the dealer look it up in their computers?

 

I would think the dealership could help.
I took mine recently for it's first oil change and the receipt had a build date of Feb 13th '06, which I would assume they got from my VIN.

 

Any Dealership can pull that info in Parts with a function 70 or in Service with an Oasis.

bradzpony: thanks for the tip. I went back and pulled out my old receipts and lo and behold...

"IN-SVC" = first day the car arrived at the dealership from the factory
"PROD" = Build date.

 

Fredrik, PM me your VIN, and I can do a OASIS in 5 minutes for you, and get the date.

I swear somewhere on the car in the trunk it said build date. I seen it on mine before, but cant remember where it was. I thought it was on the spare tire cover. But ran out to look and its not. I dunno, but its somewhere on the car.
