Er...just for clarification...palmetto bugs are big roaches.
I believe you're referring to the aptly named love bugs. Can't say I miss those since I moved away from FL.

Don't feel bad, guys- I fear wind more than rain, and we got both here today. 20-35mph winds plus an inch of rain...that's a lot of tree shrapnel coming at you. My girl's staying in the garage, under a blanket.
...and deer. Lots of deer. Had 2 of them run through the backyard this morning. I'll take palmetto bugs over a 5 point buck in the road any day.
