Warranty work on the clutch pack.....

Hello,
I think I have the dreaded axle moan/groan durning low speed maneuvers problem with my '07 GT. I wonder if the dealer would swap my 3.31 gears with FRPP 3.73's while doing the warranty work? They have to remove the ring and pinion anyway to install the new clutch pack. Has anyone else tried to go that route to save some $$$ with gear installation???? Thanks

I would say with a 12 pack of beers to the right guy it would be a non issue

I had 2 tsbs for the diff done. The first tsb was for chattering while turning. They did that tsb THEN the diff started moaning so i had to take it back and have the second tsb done, I was furious that the first fix caused the second problem, but they fixed it.

When I had the first tsb done, they installed my 4.10s at the same time and charged me about $100, no whine whatsoever thank you Jesus.

So, yes it can be done, just have to find the right dealer and the right service writer.

Good luck!

It's the best time to change gears just pay them the extra 1 hr or so that way its coverd under warranty just buy the gears from them through ford racing they might do it at no extra cost
