I got 3 tickets for this with in a few months, 2 at the same stop sign. It stinks because its in the middle of no where and you can really see for a mile in every direction....no one was coming. Good thing for me nola just wants $ and I got them reduced to improper equip so my ins doesnt go up. I actualy have cort today for the 3rd one...

not that I really want to get involved in this thread, but why does having a stick make you more prone to roll through stop signs?

Having a stick has nothing to do with rolling through stop signs. I have a stick, and yes I have done it, but I can say with 100% conviction I would have done it as well had I had an auto.

I wish I could pull my driving record for you, you'd feel alot better. Im a good driver, Ive just done alot of stupid crap in my youth and got caught for it alot. Everyone does something stupid, some of us just get caught more And once you start getting caught, cops look for you to keep messing up.

Maybe I am weird but you guys are flaming him for getting caught speeding, and minor infractions? So what????

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that most of us on this forum violate the speed limit at one time or another. (Guilty as charged!!!)

Just because he is posting his record doesn't mean the rest of you can get all sanctimonious and start lecturing about his menacing behavior and proclivity to run down small children in crosswalks.

I see crappy rice-Hondas do worse things on a daily basis.

Lay off the guy.

The cops near by here are so bad and upsetting so many people with there tactics for giving out tickets that theres a investigation going on as to if what they are doing it legal.
During rush hour they will pull somebody over for speeding or running a light, then a second cop car will pull in front of the car they just pulled over and start pulling over people for not clearing the lane next to them! And then after the first cop finishes writing the ticket he will repeat it and they will do it over and over till they reach the city limits.

And these people they are pulling over are just trying to get home from work!

Illinois wants 30 bucks for the information. What the heck, I ordered it.

Thank you for choosing DrivingRecord.org for your recent
purchase (Order Number: XXXXXXX-XXXX). This message is to
inform you that we have processed your order information. We
are now waiting for you to print, sign, and fax in the state
required release form

This should be good, Im prepared to take my beating when I post it.

More tickets when I was younger, but never 3 in a year, or nothing crazy, that I can remember.

Most were handled so they would not be on my record, wonder if they will show.

That's just wrong! I have several friends on the police force here who hate towns like that because it gives all cops a bad name! Another example of how not to do PR.

My sons insurance (22yrs old) is 300 month because of his past driving record.
Thats why he has a 05 Ford Five Hundred and I have the Mustang.

Just reading most of the posts, it doesn't seem they're flaming him for getting caught speeding. They're flaming him because seemingly he is proud of it. Why else would he post that record in the first place?

Im not proud of my record. Now im not really sure why I posted it. I was searching for a new insurance carrier and to get a accurate qoute I needed to know exact dates and such. I was hoping people would post some of there past expierences with getting tickets growing up addicted to speed. Not flame me like Im a menace to society who seeks out school zones and cross walks to mow down senior citizens and small children!

I've been surprised at how much flaming your thread has created. I'm guessing many on this site have far worse records, but are keeping quiet. My take is that you got stupid at times when you were younger, got some tickets you deserved and some you didn't and just wanted others to share their ticket and insurance histories.

I got VERY lucky when I was younger--a number of warnings but no ticket until I was over 30 (for a rolling stop). BTW, some have posted in other threads that GEICO quotes you a low initial rate then jacks it up later when you renew. You might want to do a search on this subject. Good luck.
