Thumbs up

I just noticed that the seat lever on the left hand side of the driver's seat for reclining the seat back doesn't work at all. Oddly, the lever on the back of the seat works but I don't appear to have a gradual series of positions like there are on the passenger seat. It only seems to latch in a few places--luckily one setting is one I can live with.

I suspect this was broken when the car was at a body shop for custom paint recently. Anyhow, does anybody have a clue what to dismantle and possibly repair? I'm going to have the car in the dealer for 15000 mile maintenance on Saturday and will mention it, but I'd like to give it a shot before having to leave the car with them all day.

Sounds like the link from the recliner handle pivot may have come loose. Unless the body shop you had it at removed the seat I find it highly unlikely that they could have caused the problem.

Here is a pdf with the seat exploded diagrams
