Rust proof + wash every week and you'll be fine if you have to drive in the winter.

My Probe GT was rustproofed every year and now 10 years later, driven year round in lots of salt, still has no rust.
You're right of course Dan......Modern cars are vastly better than the "Old" days. BUT as long as I don't HAVE to drive it, I just can't bear to do it in this #$$@%. :notnice:[/b][/quote]

Right on; ...only I'm with Bullittman - I just don't wanna !!!

Cars have certainly improved - but chemistry hasn't.

Modern protective systems, whether chemical or physical, are only effective while intact (even stainless steel stains, it just takes lots longer). Many modern mishaps, most unseen, can result in a ***** in the armor - then chemistry happens.

Accordingly, I just don't wanna (as long as I don't hafta).

Anyone else have any experience with either Michelin Alpin/X-Ice? Adrenalin has convinced me I should put X-Ice's on my 05 when it comes in. I sorta knew that just looking at the tread pattern of the Pirellies.

How about Bridgestone Blizzaks? Worth it vs. X-Ice? I've been a big Michelin fan myself so I'm leaning towards the X-Ice tires.

Anyone sell their Pirellies? How much did you get for them?

Hey John,
Do they salt the factory holding lots? I would think they must. If so I'm glad we already have ours safe from harmful salts in the garage. Feel bad for someone waiting for arrival and not wanting salt contacting their new Stang. Not a good though for a new owner, if they do not plan on driving in the winter snow and salt.
