Does the stang come with clear coat??
Just wondering because I was asked this myself and didn't know the answer. Does the mustang come with a clear coat from the factory?? I didn't think so but I wasn't positive.
I believe the answer is "yes". I just bought an aftermarket chin spoiler and had it paint-matched with the factory paint. My paintcode is P3 (Windveil Blue) and the description is "Windveil Blue Clearcoat". Body shop that painted my spoiler added extra coats of clearcoat for future abuse it will take.
Generally metallics have had a clearcoat in recent years, though non-metallics (such as black, red, white, yellow) can vary... so while I can't say definitively about other colors, I do know that Vista Blue certainly does have a clearcoat (I detailed one a few weeks ago).
Definitely. Most modern vehicles today get clear-coated at the factory.
That's why those dealership "protection packages" (which include "clear coating") are such a scam.

I cant think of a car that is built today from a manufacture that isnt clear coated. Ford clear coat is relatively soft though, which is nice, makes it much nicer to fix imperfections than say a Corvette, which clearcoat are hard as rocks.
