Yeah I got IUP, you?

 

I got iup too...I hope it was built and not delayed

 

I finally got my VIN !!!!....1ZVHT82H8551211944

But no built date for the moment... the status is temp delay... or something like that. He will investigate and call me back next week.... I hope is not because of the IUP....

 

I keep hearing IUP on back order from this site but so far the cars keep being built. Not sure what is going on. My is scheduled for Nov 11, I ordered IUP and mine shows as scheduled. I also read that the IUP hold does not affect Canadian cars. Most likely because not that many were sold compared to the US due to the time of the year. I am one of the few idiots ordering a car that will just sit in a garage until April.

 

Add me to the idiot buying a car for his garage. :bang: I had thought we'd have these cars earlier when I ordered in May. Now I'm so obsessed with driving it that I can't do the smart thing and wait until spring to buy oh well, should be seeing my car soon

 

No storage for me...
Good snow tires and that's it. I am just hoping that I will not receive it during a snow storm....

 

I orederd my V6 just this week (Oct 19) From Richport Ford in Vancouver. Salesman called me Oct 21 to say my order was accepted by Ford and I would have a VIN withing a week and should have the car in 8 weeks. I asked him about the IUP issue and he said that it was more of a USA issue than a Canadian issue. I hope He's right, the IUP is the only way to get drivers side airbags, plus I think its much nicer.
8 weeks though...gonna go nuts waiting!!!

 

Ah, bugger. I still can't decide. Sell the Jeep and drive the stang in the winter. Keep the Jeep, store the stang, sell the Jeep in April. Keep the Jeep, cancel my order, reorder the stang in the spring. My head hurts :bang:

 

Two weeks ago, I had almost delayed my order to receive it beginning of April...
And now I can't wait to drive it ... snow or not !

 

Stang Mary! do you have a built date.. mine october 11 but no more information from my dealer :bang: if you have more information pleaaaaaaase tell me :cry:

 

Ya most likely I will end up driving it in the snow because I have thought about the car so long I am going insane. Not sure what I will do to the car yet, waiting for SEMA, but I have a feeling it is going to be a good winter project for me.

 

I'm going to wait till next year ,I would liketo get a test drive in and now thinking I would like to see a vert this spring .I'm sold on the coupe .....but you never know ....a redfire convertible with the red leather interior ...hmmmm..

I know whatya mean, once they start arriving I might have a spur of the moment feeling and just go buy one right away. I don't wanna pay for one over winter not driving it. I am confused what to do???

 

Hmm this is strange

A dealer in BC shows 4 of them in stock, www.metromotors.com new cars, check inventory

 

it shows 4 ---04 models

 

Hmm, seems to be a pattern forming, at least 4 dealers list them in inventory here in BC, I guess I'll see if thats true tomorrow if I get a chance.
