The bottom of the rear most cup holder actually pulls out to allow for taller bottles or cups. I only found about that by reading here.

You guys still have the plastic on your seats? Now that is a retro look! Reminds me of when I was growing up and lots of folks put those clear plastic covers on all the furniture to "keep it looking nice". If you aren't old enough to remember that, good for you!

While in Montreal, if you see someone in a green Explorer with U.S. Govt. plates trying to get your attention, pull over......it's me wanting to check out your ride! I'm there almost every day.

I know I'm not the sharpest bulb in the crayon box,
I think you would be the sharpest bulb in the crayon box. Especially since I think you would be the ony bulb in a crayon box.

Class...class... this is a mixed metaphor. Tsk tsk tsk.

John, just curious.....with all that highway driving, what did you do to vary rpm's for the break in period? Personally, I think I would have been hitting on and off ramps periodically. It'd be good for the engine, not to mention lots of fun!
I varied the cruise every couple of miles from 70-75-80, back down, rode 4th gear at 70 for a little bit... had fun periodically gunning it, etc.

Don't be so hard on yourself, i just figured out that there was a rubber thing in the bottom of the cupholder you can take out to make it deeper and Ive had my car since January. I was going to complain that I thought my Propel bottle got in the way of the shifter, guess I don't have to now. It happens to the best of us.

What kind of rubber thing? Is it like the one's from previous years? I know my 01 had that rubber thing in the cupholder but I don't think this one does unless its well camoflaged. Of course, I may have overlooked it

Yeah i never noticed till i saw some change i had in the cup holder slipping in what looked like a lil slit. I was like "well thats not smart", then i realized what it was. Im a software engineer, not an automobile one, and it showed right there. oh well, thanks Ford for not being as dumb as i almost assumed you were.
