I have a buddy who does work for MM&FF. February's issue of MM&FF will be featuring this gem of an 05-

this is the worst case of rice I have seen...and I can't believe a magazine like MM&FF would do a feature article on it. Please write to MM&FF and ask them to not do this. This guy put SVT stickers on his car...along with COBRA stickers.
It's disgusting.

have seen this somewhere before, dump the svt stickers and "cobra" junk on the sides. other than that, the car doesn't seem too bad... not exactly to my taste. (i'm more a fan of the FR500C's looks - ie. "simple")

We've discussed this car here, a while back.
What's rice about it? He's shooting for 500 RWHP, and he clearly states it's a "what they could have done" look. If it were all show and no go I might agree, but as is, though there are some things I wouldn't have done, it's done well.
As I thought, was discussed In this thread, and this one.

Hmm... another example of how arbitrary the definition of "rice" sometimes seems to be. When I look at the car in the article the thing I see that's the most distasteful is the "Cobra" sticker on the trunk lip.
Although I tend to agree that the "Cobra" rocker stripe is a bit on the big and gaudy side, how is it any different than somebody installing a GT500 rocker stripe on their GT?

I've seen much worse, but, it's not "that" bad. Take off the cobra lettering and it'd be a nice car IMO.
If they were going to pick a nicely modded out S197 for a cover story, personally I'd be picking Vegasjay or Adrenalin.

yup, old news and I kinda like it because my first car was a 77 Mustang Anyway, the cobra lettering looks out of place on the car, but the car is definately not rice. Most of those mods are the most popular mods people are putting on their cars. If that car is rice, so is mine and in that case, rice is nice
