They should buy US something for waiting as long as we do and decide to still stay loyal mustang fanatics.

Funny you should say that. I gave all my customers who bought Mustangs from me that new hardcover book that is out, "Mustang, a new breed of pony car 2005". Everyone of my customers was suprised that I gave them them a gift. I looked at it as a small token of appreication for buying the car from me.

A real nice story was from my customer who ordered the vert from me in September '04, and picked it up in early April, stopped in with his wife to take a look at it inside our shop (we kept in inside after PDI, just to be safe) the day before delivery. I gave him the book, and he was genuinely thankful for the small gift, as he wasn't expecting anything from me. So 3 days after he picked his new car up, he stopped in and gave me a brand new Mustang hat to wear aroung the dealership. That was way cool on his part. .

Sweet! I have that book and it's great! No small gift IMO, great customer relations . . . wish you were my sales rep .

I'm on my third one since placing my order, never had a call from the dealership about arrivals/departures or from any of them. :notnice:

Kevin - I hope your lovely wife didn't have to arm-wrestle the salesguy for that deal on the new truck - or was that the method of determining which of you two gets to drive the Mustang - and she lost????

Mt selas rep was talking about how he was planing on getting new computer speakers so I got him a $50 gift certificate to BB. As a former salesman I know that you really dont make much on new car deals until you hit a big volume. he was floored. If you had great service on a $25k - $35k car deal is a token of appreciation to much to ask? However if you paid sticker or over, I promise they were well rewarded.

My dealership put on my JBA axlebacks for no charge. I stopped by a few days after picking it up and gave my salesman a case of beer to share with the service dept. My salesman has an '01 Bullit, but has never driven an '05. It was pretty funny when I sat in the passenger seat as my salesman took my car out for a test drive! He could not get over how good a job Ford has done on this car.

When we bought the Mustang, we got a $700 gift card from Best Buy, some sort of promotion the dealer was having that the time. That was sweeet
For the last few years whenever we have bought cars, I send the salesman a gift basket from Fairytale Brownies. They are yummy, an Arizona company which I support, and it's a gift that seems to get alot of thank you's from the receiver.
