The way I see it, this car accelerates just as well as the '97 Cobra. The nice thing about it though is there are no dramatics with the operation. The SN95s had lots of noise, and just general business that this car just flat out doesn't have. This is a GOOD thing by the way. I would say the engine is just as strong if not stronger although it doesn't look as good. We need those engine covers! I will get one as soon as Ford makes them. (Crossing fingers).

Suspension is at least 10x more capable as far as I can tell. No sloppiness. The corrections required to keep the SN95 going straight after a lane change is no longer required with this car. I also feel it's tighter and with much less thum & drum getting into the cabin.

I told some people tonight that so far, a Ford (as much as I like them) hasn't made me forget about my '00 BMW 323i. This car has done that in spades. Not only is it as tight and capable as that car, it's close to twice as powerful.

This is my 7th Mustang and to me it's in a completely different solar system from what we've all experienced in the past.
