Interesting that the charcoal leather has just two creases on the seat, whereas the red leather has a pattern of creases for the retro look.

The charcoal leather that you see in the picture is from a V6. The GT leather has a perforated leather pattern which I think you are referring to when you say "a pattern of creases for the retro look". I'm fairly certain that the GT's charcoal leather will come with the same pattern as the red leather seats you are referring to. Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Compare these two pics. The first is a GT and the second is a V6. They have different seat patterns.

makes sense. The gt seats are always more contoured then the V6. bigger bolsters more holding capability. I hated the V6 leather in the present model, but loved the gt. I think the V6 is designed to fit the butts of a huge array of people, from the 90 high school sophomore girl whose daddy bought her the brand new shinny red convertible, all the way to the 350 lbs 40something industrial manager going through his second childhood. While the GT seats are designed for someone who wants performance and support. Who has seen both? Anyone have a comparison?

V-6 cloth:

Oh my GOD. I hate to criticize such a beautiful car, but that's the ugliest cloth I've seen in my life!!

I'm hoping it looks better in person, or else I might have to get the leather. [/b][/quote]
I agree!!!!!!! Is that in the Gt also?? What does everybody think of this cloth?? Should be same color of side supports!!!!! 1 color without the word "mustang" or horses

remember, FORD decided to keep badging off the outside of the car, so they went crazy on the inside...the cloths really remind me of the 1979 Pace Car for some reason. It's very 80's.

No, the GT has ponies in the seat. See page 1.

Are the pictures of the GT cloth seats & interior dark charcoal grey? The one looks different than the one of just the seat. Just wondering since that is what I ordered. Guess I better just wait until it gets here before I freak out.

The cloth seats felt stiff IMO. Not as plush as the cloth in my 01 V6. The writting on the seat, from what I can remember, is reflective.. in person it doesn't stand out as much, but still.. looks "cheesey"

It looks to me like the pics shown (of both the cloth and leather interiors in this thread) are of medium graphite and not dark charcoal...though I could be off base here. They aren't as dark as the base color of the red interior, which is also dark charcoal.

This is from the ford website:

Dark Charcoal:

Medium Graphite:
