Hey All,

Viewing all of the pics that were posted as a result of Brad's post (Bumper Cutout), it appeared as though there may be a variation (Half-cuts) in some of the V-6 rear bumbers. Could the difference be in the deluxe v. premium package?

Ford has shown a bumper cut-out on other prototype V6's in the past. It was not on the the original '94, but was either in '96 or '99 (can't seem to find the articles or pictures).

Hopefully Ford does not do this as it would then require V6 owners to buy a GT bumper cover if they want to add Dual Exhaust !! It would look kind of silly with one cut-out, and probably not worth the effort to try to add a second one that matches.

The V6 specific Dual Exhaust kits for '99-04 have the pipes bent so they hang below the stock V6 non-cut-out bumper ... o/a appearence looks correct like a '94-98 GT/Cobra where you can see the side of the Stainless Steel tailpipe behind the tires. I've always liked this look better than the '99-04 GT/Cobra with cut-outs where you only see the tip ends.

The product guide on the timeline page indicates there is a cutout on the V6. This is probably as definitive information on the production car as we have right now.

It appears to be pretty small, though; not as pronounced as the GT. Maybe it's hard to see in some photos, or maybe some preproduction cars didn't have it.

There is no indication that this is limited to one trim level or the other.
