Scott, don't mean to go off-topic here, but can you post all the pics of that mod install in the exterior section? I'd love to see them. I was up there, didn't know they were vendors that were doing that? So they had a jigsaw all ready to cut the hood I'm guessing? Very cool. Please post some more pics!

CDC Here

I got my set of CDC's and installed them in 15 minutes in my work (tie and slacks) duds on. Absolutely no problems with hood alignment and function is flawless...

I can't see why there would even be a question...

Sometimes you get what you pay for. You generally need to be very careful what you buy off ebay, especially when you are talking about the many "DIY" kits put together by someone that may or may not know more about it than you do.

Steeda Hood Struts

Here are pictures of our Steeda Hood Struts. TacoBill's pictures of his MRT hood struts are very helpful when installing. It's great to have the hood open so much wider and to pop up so easily.

You can put a lock washer between the bolt and the bracket and it won't move. Mine moved a bit as well at first, put a lock washer in and hasn't moved in over a year. Better that drilling holes and using rivets IMO.

I also have the Steeda hood struts. Got lucky on ebay with $50 off retail. Otherwise they are a little on the expensive side. Design of the strut seems identical to the CDC/MRT struts.

I'm very happy with them
