Convertible Drone Theory

I've got an 07 vert, manual tranny, 3.55:1 gears, FRPP/ Borla Stingers. Mucho, mega drone around 2k. Honestly it doesn't bother me that much, but new passengers almost alway comment on it.

Okay, I think you're talking about the actual muffler hanger, not a new part. It is made of rubber and has holes where the prongs on the muffler go. I've noticed a thread on here talking about replacing the over axle pipes, anyone with this setup have drone issues? I'm seriously thinking of a way to put a rubber damper around the pipe to deaden vibration, maybe I can hit Home Depot and see what they've got....

It was put there by the NVH team - Noise/Vibration/Harshness - and it's purpose it to reduce any extraneous noise and vibration caused by the six's single exhaust. Don't know how well it works... you'd have to get a junior mustang and take it off to see i guess.
Has anyone put headers on with the stock mufflers and noticed if the exhaust was louder without drone?

Darth this was a separate deal from the front and aft hangers on the muffler...those were both the same as the GT mufflers, this as I recall was shaped like a small soup can and appeared to be made of a hard rubber and was attached to the rear of the muffler and stuck up behind the bumper and not attached to anything else...this was on a stock 05' V-6 car, that I was putting my take of GT muffler on.
Can anyone with a six who happens to be reading post a picture of this item?
