Confused on Order Status and Priority???
Confused on Order Status and Priority???
OK, so I tried to call ERL today.
Of course, the ERL was nowhere close to understanding the VIN, so I tried using dealer code, order number etc.
Unfortunately, ERL says it did not recognize the order code. Dealer gave me a generic 9999. Did my dealer give me a bogus order number?
I also saw on blue oval forums, where I found the 800 number, that a priority code of 10 is the lowest a dealer can assign, is this true?
I recall seing somewhere else on TMS that someone had been assigned a priority code of 40.
Is 10 the lowest priority code or not?

So is 40 better than 10?
What is the best priority code which can be assigned?
If that is the case, then I am ****ed, as I am spending alot of additional $ with this guy, buying the FRPP kit, GT/CS fascias, and install on all of it...
What is my best approach now?
To clarify..
Priority Code is assigned by the dealership starting at 10 and going up to 90. This tells Ford which order to build like cars in for that one particular dealership. For example, let's say your dealer ordered three Mach 1's. 10 goes to the first guy, 11 goes to the second, and 12 goes to the last guy who ordered. Since Ford goes in numerical order, your dealer could actualy use 20, 21, and 22 or 56, 57, and 58, etc. It just doesn't matter, other than Ford builds in the order the dealer numbers them.
The 9999 isn't a real order number. My dealer did the same for me so they could quickly tally the codes I wanted to get my signoff. Of course I found out today that they f-ed up when they placed the actual order. Soooo, my suggestion is to pay them a visit and get a copy of the actual order that they entered so you can check it for errors. And see that they gave you a priority of 10 or close to it. 10 is best as mentioned above. Good luck!
Duh - just noticed dly covered this earlier. My bad! Give the dealer hell anyway! I kept asking what my priority was and they weren't giving it to me for some reason, so I stopped by and asked to see the order sheet. It's at the top of the page next to the order number...
