Okay Boomer,

You have a Satin Silver Stang so I highly value your opinion... Is this photochop close to the correct color (the pics on the site look dulled due to weather)? And here's my version of what it would look like with white stripes... comparable to the Titanium/Silver??

Hehe... I love the silver, want some stripes, but don't really want to go BOLD with black or red or something. :stubborn: Anyone else want to put in their 2 cents?

Thanks!

Yeah. I was originally thinking about getting Satin Silver, but it lack depth in almost any lighting.

Mineral Grey has depth in a lot of lighting, but then you get a certain lighting and BAM, it's flat and thin.

That Titanium from the show has great depth. It is, in part, probably due to show quality paint job. It probably has more clear coats on it, as well as possibly an intermediate coat between the Titanium and the clears (show cars will sometimes have a layer with a mix of color plus clear, under 2-3 clear coats).

That's just guessing on my behalf, though. I didn't see the show car in person. But that paint has depth in every photo I've seen... it sure is sweet.

Yeah its light in natural lighting....

And I personally think the white stripes would get lost in it.
I mean, stripes are there to contrast the car, and certain pairs of stripes/body colour compliment really well....

Dark colour car....light stripes....
Light colour car....dark stripes...

That pic is close, but I can see the white getting too washed in.

Metallic Black stripes would be cool...
or even a dark blue or blue striping on a silver car....

I'd like to see Dark Shadow gray on Satin silver, i think that would look good, if you not going for the typical 'black'

or even the reverse....get Titanium stripes on Satin silver...

Great ideas! Titanium on Satin might look really cool... I know blue would.

Actually, I think a really cool thing would be to have a just slightly lighter or darker Le Mans stripe set, on a Mineral Grey car.

Maybe a hard dark silver grey on the Mineral Grey, for example. Something that you can see in some light, and not in others.

For a Satin Silver car, you really should add metallic charcoal colored stripes, or at least metallic gunmetal... white looks too tame for some reason...

ALSO, Why DO people erase their license plates? Do you really think someone is out there to "get you" lol? No, seriously, I never understood that

i agree, The satin silver just doesn't do it for me.It looks faded. A metalic silver would look a lot better. the satin does lack depth. Question? Is the mineral grey a metalic color.

Satin is metallic, its just light, and hard to tell in photo's.
Mineral Gray has a nice ammount of metal flake..as does DSG.

As for the bluring license plates....believe me when I say keep as much personal info off the 'net, regardless how small/insignificant you think it is...truth, not paranoia. What you don't know, can hurt you.

Can I have your name, phone number, maybe a picture of your house and street, family members? Or, give me your licence plate and I'll get all those things myself. B)

Here's my license plate to prove I am not -- ahem, paranoid... (but it also shows those cool Shelby stripes off!)

You're only "not being paranoid" if nothing happens. If someone takes advantage of your personal info, then the label gets changed to "reckless".

Its all about perceived risk. You think you aren't at risk. That's fine. Other people (whom I tend to agree with) understand that you don't know everyone on the internet well enough to feel safe and that it is okay to take reasonable precautions so that your personal privacy/info is not available for public consumption.

Personally, I don't think anyone who blurs out their licence plate is being "paranoid" but rather they are being "cautious" which is smart.

I usually just photochop my screenname onto the licence plate in a non-licence plate font... it looks better than just having a white smear

Satin silver is the lightest color available second to white. Black stripe is the only way to go.

Goose,
Yeah, not sure how the red interior would look on the Windveil (the one

I saw had Light Graphite, but I myself would hit up Dark Charcoal (i have light graphite now, I wanted a change)

Yes windveil has a nice ammount of flake, more than my Satin Silver...and its one of those colours you have to see up close to appreciate.

See the photo to get an idea...
