Clutch help

Hey guys I was needing a lil help regarding my 07 gt I was driving down the road stopped @ a red light and went to put the clutch down and the clutch just dropped and had no tension i let off and went to push on it again and it still had no tension so I pulled over and a lil bit of smoke started to come out from under the hood. I think the clutch disc went out or the pressure plate went out. But not sure if someone would help me on this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Or that it is just low on fluid.

Yea I think it was the slave cylinder. I checked under the Car last night and there was a hydraulic fluid puddle.

That'd be bad seeing as how the clutch gets its fluid from the brake reservior!

I had the slave cylinder go out on my 1990 T-Bird SC at 2am once. It had a separate fluid system from the brakes, but I still had to get towed home because the towing company would not bring me a bottle of brake fluid.

Well the dealer just called me to tell me that my car was done and that it was not the slave cylinder. The problem was the line coming off the slave cylinder had a crack in it.

That must be relieving. Just a small problem and nothing major. Right on

When I took my car to a dealer to have the FRPP SS clutch line installed , it cost quite a bit more than I was expecting. The fitting is on the top of the trans and they said they had to drop the engine and trans to get to it , so it was several hours labor ...

Sounds expensive. I think all they had to do to mine was just change out the line. The total coast was 138 to change it out. I dunno why they would have to drop the tranny to just put in an after market one.
