Cloth Vert Roof Issues?

IsellFords or Anyone-
Has anyone heard of an issue ordering the Cloth top for the 07' convertible? A dealer I went to the other day said at this time only vinyl is available ??

I will be ordering a 07' GT/CS very soon. That would be a heartbreaker (and a dealbreaker!) since I really want to order the cloth top and would probably wait if there is a commodity hold. Any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Please let me know.
thanks,

Dbl E GT

Your dealer's full of crap. Sounds like he doesn't want to wait. After seeing the cloth top up close and personal, you don't want the vinyl...

I have not seen any issues with the cloth top as for scheduling. I have the cloth on mune and love the looks, however it does pick up lint and takes a little more upkeep than the vinyl roofs that I have had.

Thank you ISELLFORD for checking! Glad to hear from you thre are no ordering problems. I will be soon ordering a GT/CS vert and DEFINITELY want the cloth top !

Now, if I could only decide on either Redfire or Vista Blue exterior ??

thanks again,

My '07 vert is supposed to be built with cloth roof next Tuesday 8/1.

It took me a while (~8wks) to get serialized, and that may have had to do with the vert/manual trans/cloth top combination, but I actually think it had more to do with my dealer's weak allocation mojo.

I will help you out, Redfire with cloth top. You are welcome!!

Both colors are great but I am partial to the Redfire. Semperfi65 has some pics posted of his and it is beautiful. Here is a link to some;

Ed,

I've used the roller lint brush on mine with good results. Any recommendation that you or Ford may have on any spray/protectorant to put on??

Thanks.

A HOT Car !! Absolutely stunning in Redfire with the black top.

Also, is that the dark dash (instead of the Satin)?

Thanks Dbl E.

Yes, I have the dark IUP. See pg 4 of this thread for closer pics.

I figured with the 'Vert, I wanted to try and cut down on as much glare as possible when the top is down. It's bad enough that there's plenty coming off the top of my head.

I've been very happy with the way the charcoal IUP turned out.

I have the charcoal IUP package as well. I'm thrilled with the look of it.
