TurtleWax Chrome Polish and Rust Remover.
White bottle, red cap, white cream inside.
Open, pour a dab on a terry cloth, apply to chrome tips and scrub.
Brown stuff comes off like water.
Let it sit for a minute or two.
Wipe off with clean terry cloth.
Welcome to exhaust tips that look like they were just pulled out of the box.

Been using this for 1.5 years, tips still look flawless everytime, makes a huge difference

My tailpipes look like brand new on my 94 Taurus SHO. I polished polished tailpipes years ago with Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish. I have never had to polish them since. I just keep them clean by spraying Stoner Tarminator onto the tailpipes and wiping them clean with a paper towel once a month. The crud just melts off tailpipes with the Tarminator. Couldn't be easier.

Cool Very Nice SHO!

Newdy22: Very Nice looking SHO! Great to see that someone out there still has a clean SHO sport sedan, that is getting some good personal car care! This was a pretty great performing Ford sedan for the period! Sadly most of them have ended up as tired every day drivers and are now slowly moving towards the dark world of the old beater cars! Good Job!! CalStang

I use super fine steel wool after a good scrubbing with soap and water. It removes the the that stain your talking about.

Stainless steel will discolor and get surface rust, you just have to keep up with it. The best thing to do is get the chrome tips, keep them waxed and easy to clean.

Thats BS. I've been using steel wool for years.147 trophies since 1985 and no rust to show for.
