My source within Ford gave me a list of colors for 2006 and Titanium was not one of them (although Tungsten gray was). Because of this, I personally decided to go ahead and get Sonic Blue because I know for sure it's available now and not in 2006. With the possibility of having no Titanium after the wait, I'd rather get something I know I like and can have.

The tungsten gray must be more like you described it, as a charcoal metallic without the "muddy" quality of the mineral gray. I see a lot of Mitsubishi Eclipses like this.
I hope I'm right, because that's the exact color I want! As dark as mineral gray, but without the muddiness. Perfect!

Colors from left to right: Black, Blue Granite Metallic, Summit White, Sandstone Metallic, Sunburst Orange Metallic, Ultra Silver Metallic, Rally Yellow, Victory Red, and Arrival Blue Metallic.
I like this victory red. Its RED RED. I wish Ford had a bursty orange like this one too.
And the blue granite looks like windveil.
BTW- these fugly little things are Cobalt's. Cavaliers replacement, throwaway cars for teens and college students.

I was editing my post when you replied.
I always thought a red like that or even better, the RX-8 red would look good. They are very rich candy coloured reds. But I started thinking recently that candy red wouldn't look good on a car like the mustang. It needs more interesting, refined colours. That's not to say I'm 100% satisfied with the ones we have, but they probably look a lot better than a shade like that would.
I just saw a red 2000 GT. That red was perfect. Right between Torch and Redfire. Let me see if I can find the colour.

Look, at this point I am so sick of white I could vomit. I need some color in my life. My current Vehicle is arctic white with silver stripes and grey/black interior. BOOOOORING(!!). So anything thats shiny and NON vanilla flavored is good to me. That red and the orangey are the only two decent things general maintenance has going for them.
for Ford:
I thought I liked redfire for the way it looks under light, and the icky red is too watered down blood looking.
I REALLLLY want a black with red IUP and white stripe, but if my husband spent the amount of time keeping it washed its gonna need, he would want to drive it.
He won't allow me a lime one men! Windveil is on the Tortise, so I am up the creek- January comes up swiftly.
Question about silver(one I have not entertained) Do Silver cars still fade and get dull after time? Eleanors gonna be kept in her own car house, but I am just curious?

Ok, I'm just going to repost the list of colors I have for 2006 since I keep getting PM's asking for them.
Ebony
Performance White
Satin Silver
Colorado Red
Redfire
Vista Blue (darker than Sonic)
Windveil Blue
Tungsten (charcoal gray)
Screaming Yellow
Lime Gold (retro green)
What confused me is how in the interview Dan had that the guy said Titanium would be available. My guess is maybe he meant Tungsten.

So is the color they had at the car show with the satin silver stripes tungsten or titanium I've heard that it's titanium and that hai tau tang or however you spell it said Titanium would be offered in 06'. Whatever it's called, that's the color I want. Has anyone else heard for certain if that color from the auto show will ever be offered? Thanks, Rob

All I did was repeat the e-mail the person sent, I didn't alter it at all. So they say it's a charcoal gray, but my first thoughts would be silver since Tungsten Silver was on the Mustang Concept. On the other hand, having two silvers (Satin and Tungsten) sounds like overkill. But ah! I just remembered something they told me when they gave me the info (in person). It says Tungsten but they are considering renaming it. Amazing what you can remember when drinking OJ. :bang:

I think some of the 2005 color choices stink and should have been more scrutinized before they settled on em' (which is why I chose white, lol). Here's my corrections:
Screaming Yellow >> Should be Speed Yellow like on Saleens. It's not so darn "deep" and um, screaming. I like mellow yellows like the Zinc Yellow from the prev. generation
Redfire >> Should've stuck with Laser Red, which is red no matter how dark or light it is outside. Oh well.
Sonic Blue >> Too dark and plain. Any one see those 1999 Mustangs in Atlantic Blue? Now THERE'S a blue color...
Legend Lime >> Are you serious? Only an exotic deserves such a wacky-cool color like this (say Murcielago or even the BMW M3 with its similar Phoenix Yellow)
I don't hate these colors, but again, they should have been more mainstream than I think they may be...

I still want candy apple-
Or metallic blue black, I Don't know the color but its an early 80s chevy color. Looks black but has blue sparkles in the paint.

Tungsten may be offered instead of titanium, but I don't think it looks like mineral gray. I would venture that it looks just like the concept car.

They appear darker than the concept car. And just a bit darker than the titanium show car. For me, the darker, the better! I just made up my mind, I'm getting an '06!
