Yes, I thought I might be getting one next week sometime

Its just the time has come for the mustang to come live with me. I don't want to be in a position where I run into a high demand out of stock, you gotta wait situation. Just not gonna happen to me.

Suits me fine if it was set back. I want mine in the spring next year for my warm weather car anyway. They can push it back to Jan for all I care.. Well not really. It would be nice to test drive one and get more info on it, but it's not the end of the world. Besides, it eases my temptations of buying it early.

Feel sorry for you guys in the south though.

I feel bad for me in the north. I'll be getting the car in Oct probably (or on the 1/1000 chance it comes earlier, in sept) and I have oct and nov to drive it in ok weather, then I have to wait til April or so to drive in nice weather again.

Id rather have Ford take its time and work as much out as possible so that its done as right as they can. I dont want no hurry up Orange County Chopper quickie where ford forgets to do something like theyve never built a car before like the Orange County guys do with motorcyles.

I mean yeah Im dying to get it asap but I figure it gives me a few more months to pay some bills down. Id really like to have it by Nov 1st so I can drive it on my friends birthday and be like bling bling look at me.

Not sure this means anything...but this is still on ford's 05 mustang website.

I'm not sure we have to worry so much about deliveries...just when they'll let us get our color codes and wheels entered.

Well I've decided to suck it up and not worry about the ordering date. If its in a week, great. Otherwise, I'll order when I can. But now I'm just counting down to Sept 7. Ordering on 5-17 or sometime later, my car still isn't getting here any earlier.

Checked with a local small town dealer this weekend & he was clueless on any order info. I am gonna check with a larger town dealer, the one were I bought my last one & maybe he will have more info as he is from a larger city. I was a little discouraged to say the least that he couldn't give me any insite on an order day. I was all set to head to the dealer 5/17 to order my new car. Man, I can't stand the wait. :bang:

Cause instead of enjoying a new 05 sooner (in your year-round warm and sunny weather) it will more than likely be later.

I think a lot of people are assuming that the ship date has changed as well, when we have no indication of that.

As far as people in the South, I believe that the seasons are just as pronounced there as in other places (except FL...there's no real fall...I grew up there), so we'll all be trying out the heaters before the air conditioners undoubtedly (again, excepting CA, AZ, etc...you catch my drift).

However, I think the air conditioner is the last thing we're itching to try out.

And if AL has fall like Atlanta does, wow...I've seen few places more beautiful in fall.

Spectacular!
Alabama Autumns are the best. And if I get the thing before December I get to see the fall leaves firsthand(sorry, won't be home much I will be out driving)!

As it stands currently- I can't crunch the #s enough to make a GT payment comfy, so I will go with windveil and have the muffler guy put a true duel on for me.
