2005 - The Dream -
#1
Hello everybody,
This is another loyal mustang fan would like to contribute to this great site (brad, you rock)
I’m guy living in the United Arab Emirates located in the Middle East. I used to drive 1994 5.0 black Mustang GT. I got it in early 1995 and it served me well till 2002 when I sold it (I think I lost my mind that time) to get a new Mercedes CL55 AMG 2002. I thought this powerful car will satisfy my needs after the Mustang (it was 215hp I think). Although this thing called CL55 AMG is one heck of a car, it’s really fast as Bullitt; handling is awesome and no need to talk about German’s quality. I spent all my saving on that car, I thought it was my dream for a while but I was wrong :bang: I realized that it’s not about power only … there is something else in these American V8s (and to be honest I don’t know what it is) it just makes me feel different, no other car sounds like the Mustang nothing beats it sound when I rev till 1800 – 1900 rpm. and am sure you guys know what am talking about
Maybe the Mustang doest have a navigation screen, no traction control or stability control program. but I think that’s what makes it a Mustang!! The CL55 is amazing car, but not for me… just press on the gas pedal and it does everything by its own, it’s like “Ultimate sports car for idiots” version, who don’t know how to drive a stick. I drove my AMG at 300 k/m but you don’t feel anything interesting…NO FUN AT ALL.
I know I might sound like a crazy, the car cost me what is equal to $125,000 but I put the money in the wrong place. I would never buy a luxury sport car ever again.
now the best price I got for it is $68,000 … I thought about getting 04 GT but then I say I should wait couple months to get a 2005
by the way, our dealer only deals with Mustang GT no V6 Mach or Cobra
I’m waiting for that 2005 so bad guys …. soooooooo bad ..
Just wanted to share my story with you guys.
Sorry about language mistakes, English is my 2nd language
Thanks brad for this site, and thanks for your loyal members... all of them. Who make this site live

Tell you what, I'll trade you for my Mach 1..even swap, you pay shipping.
Seriously though, you should be able to sell the MB outright without a hassle, and finding a nice Mach 1 or Cobra at a dealer would be relatively easy, there are still lots to be had, but I hear Mach 1s are beginning to get scarce.
IMO, go with the Cobra or Mach1, you'll be much happier in the end.
Best of luck!

As special as a $125K benz is...
I read this somewhere (paraphrased)... how many songs have been written about Mercedes benz... and how many about Mustangs?
The car has its own unique character that cannot be matched by bling-bling

Lets face it Mustangs just are the best! They always have been and hopefully they always will be too! I find German cars leather too hard, the porches are just too cheap looking on the inside. And I never had any fun riding in any of them.

Mercedes is putting out some incredible performance cars, but yeah, they are more luxury performance cars with all that entails. And thus, they do tend to lack a bit of the visceral engagement with the driver that might more typify a Mustang. Now whether this is a good thing or bad depends more on your own personal desires and wants than anything else.
Stang GT or CLK 55, both are awesome cars, they just go about it a bit differently as might be expected.
