As most of you know, the 5-17 order date was changed to a TBD date.

However, there has been a LOT of stuff "leaking" lately. Most big corporations know exactly what is "leaking".

On a 1-10 scale, what would you say are the chances of being able to order on 5-17? 1 is very low chance we can get it, 10 is "yes it will be that day" No .Xs please.

Mostly interested in what people "in the know" have to say.
I personally would say 8/10

 

Maybe their commercials aren't ready yet?

8/10 for me too (though 5 of it may be wishful thinking)

OK ... I really woudl appreciate it if I can order my Mustang on the 17th ... seeing I've been bragging to my friends for like two months now ... and I've been counting down to May 17th since January.

Word today is it will be at least 8 more weeks before ordering begins. Ford estimates "week 29" of this year. :bang:

 

That is too bad, if the "word today" is correct. I want to get an idea on accurate pricing real bad.

 

Wow...Kev....that's some painful stuff right there. I hope the car honestly doesn't get pushed back too far either...I need a new car, and with 04's running low...oh man what a bind!

hey kev...any chance that they're "leaking" this kind of info just to shock us later with the regular date? was it from big blue's mouth or just rumor?

 

What are the odds Ford is playing with us, and one day next week or next month(remember first release date was 5/05) we will be driving by the ford place and there she is?

 

from all of the other posts, i'd guess that they can't speed production THAT much...maybe by a couple of months tops, but I've never been this interested in the pre-production of a car, so i have no experience to base my assumptions on.

 

Not possible. There are people that work at the factory thats producing the car that post on forums and give information. Once they start rolling off the line for real, we will know instantly.

 

true...but i haven't seen a lot from the factory guys that i remember. they might have nondisclosure agreements too...

If you are thinking about an 04, it gets more expenisve every day. You should of bought one last month. Whatever cars you like that are on lots now are just a phone call away from disappearing forever. We are going through ours like water right now.

As for 05, hopefully an order guide comes out on time, but I have totally given up worrying about any chance of an order before late June. Its going to be a wait.

 

Seems like I've seen a massive increase of 04' Mustangs around the bay area....
