We can send you new tunes anytime you decide to upgrade something on your car regardless of who installed the parts or if you have tunes from somewhere else. An etune for new customers is $100 and previous customers it is $30. If you get an Xcal2 from us it is $399 and comes with 2 custom tunes

*edit* Sorry for some reason my signature didnt show up. I am from Modular Depot. If you have any questions please give a call 877-234-5551

I just got some killer tunes from Tillman. Great to work with. We had a little problem with the e-mail side of the tunes, he was having some problems with his e-mail. Once things were sorted out though the tunes are awesome!! Free updates too.

Brenspeed will rework the tune for you. It's just not free unless you bought the parts from them. They have very competetitive pricing anyway. I have yet to find a better price on the items that require a new tune from anywhere else. Also the service is outstanding. Keep in mind that all upgrades do not require the tune to be reworked.

Tillman has a coupon on his website for 25% off 3 e-mailed tunes if you already have an X-Cal.

Are they saying they won't give you new free tunes? Because if they won't tune it period that's just lame. -10 for brenspeed.

I think what brenspeed is saying is that if you buy tunes from them, then later on you upgrade your engine requiring new tunes, they will send you updated free tunes if you buy the engine upgrades from them.

Example: You buy 3 tunes from brenspeed. Later on you buy an off road mid pipe, requiring the rear O2's to be turned off in the tune. If you bought the midpipe from Brenspeed, he will send you free updated tunes. If you bought the midpipe from someone else, he will send you updated tunes for a price.

I have no idea, never used Doug's tunes before. I know he does a lot of great work with Auto's though. With a manual car there is a lot fewer variables to work with so I would tend to believe that tunes from different vendors would be fairly similar.

Gotta think about customer service too. I know Doug has been very hard to reach lately because he has been so busy. I understand busy, but it sure sucks waiting on your new toy to arrive!! I had nothing but good luck with Tillman, very easy to get a hold of during our e-mail problems. Once we got the problem sorted out, I had my new tunes in about 1.5 hours.

The S197 tune market is pretty great. You guys have alot of options as far as quality tunes go. Everyone out there has a different style of tuning. Everyone's had great reviews, and horrible reviews. Just go with your gut instincts, and make sure that you receive good customer service. Ourselves, Bama, Bren, VMP, all will get you to the same place, just go about it differently. Everyone listed above (as far as I know) has Calibrator status, and will be able to access all of the neccessary parameters to modify every aspect of your PCM.

Funny note: There's a guy selling $1 dollar ebay tunes with no reserve for SCT XCalibrator 2's NA or FI. I have a long block installation scheduled for Nov because of it! Choose your tuner carefully!
