John Lippold at Richport Ford is willing to give a smokin deal to anyone on a Mustang. Tell him Richard Turnbull sent you and he know's what kind of deal to offer, and it isn't MSRP, it is well under that. They have a lot of Mustangs there now and more coming. I just picked up mine on Tuesday, very happy.

Just thought I would tell my fellow Canucks on the left coast where to get one! Good luck.

Ah, Ken. Pictures coming in 10 minutes, just downloading them. Man this car is sweeeeeeet. I will be back to work on the 29th. I washed the bloody thing twice today. Mineral Gray shows dirt pretty good, not as bad as black, but still a bit of a pain.

What do you expect on "the Rock"..."the velvet hole"..."the land that time forgot"?

Ahhhh, Victoria, I remember it well; grew up there.

Suburban and Glen Oak wouldn't budge, huh? Stupid them for turning away a sale in a market as small as Victoria.

Congrats on the purchase and the sweet deal. I just bought/ordered mine here in Ontario, and finally found a dealer who would budge significantly from MSRP.

So, in Ontario, try Eastgate Ford in Hamilton - ask for Lance Richter, Sales Manager. Great purchase experience!

I know what you mean, I called John to get mine and he gave me a sweet deal over the phone, I'd never met the guy.

I was going to go there and order it but a very good friend of mone told me to call a different guy and mention his name.

He gave me a way better deal, too hard to pass up, so I ordered it that day.

However John was very upfront, and if I didn't have that other connection I am sure I would have bought from him.

I was in Suburban looking at the '05s and one of the first things the salesman told me was that the price on the window was "firm". Needless to say, I'm still 05-less.

Guys, this isn't intended as a sales pitch as much as it is fuel for consideration. There's ALOT more to "the rock" than Victoria. We're Ken Evans Ford and only about 45 minutes north in Duncan and worth checking out. 1-800-748-2155. There's no better combination than an 05 Mustang and a great deal on it. Thanks, I feel much better now It's just frustrating sometimes when one thinks that if you've shopped Victoria, that's it for the Island. The rant is over and we now return you to our regularly scheduled programming

I also bought mine from John at Richport....NO-ONE on the Island OR Vancouver would give me the same deal I got from John. Plus he offerd to pick my wife and I up at the ferries or the hotel !! I tried Suburban here in Victoria and took the the price I got from John and they told me that they will sell their allotment well over MSRP so they would NOT give me the car at the same price.

Thanks John Its hard to find an honest salesman that gives you the straight poop...

Now...a pic....

I emailed Ken Evans Ford and made an offer, but they wouldn't, or couldn't, match the deal from John at Richport. I would have been happy to go to Duncan or even Naniamo to buy but I could not get a good enough deal, sorry.

Hi Richard,

I don't know what sort of deal John is offering plus I don't know at this point who you dealt with so I'm not able to comment as to specifics, however, I can say sorry we couldn't help you out this time around and thanks alot for allowing us the opportunity. Maybe next time.

Have a Merry Christmas and I really hope that the new year includes an 05 for you.

Cheers,
Tom
