Last month I went to the Ford Dealer closest to me in Lee's Summit, MO and ordered the following;

Legend Lime
Upgrade Wheels
GT
Manual 5 Speed
Dash Upgrade (Brushed Aluminum and the "My Color" option)
Charcoal Gray seats (don't like leather)
Shaker 500 (ears don't need any more than that)

I believe that is all.

2 Weeks later they call me to verify that I still want all that. I say I do and am wondering if they even put the order in.

2 MORE weeks later (yesterday) they call and tell me that because I have the dash upgrade, my car will NOT be made for an undetermined time period. They are saying that FORD HQ puts all the cars in que as they are ordered out at each dealership and then makes them, however they are not making any atm with the dash upgrade.

So now they are telling me that it may be April or so before my car arrives and that they have absolutely no way of telling when or if Ford will be doing the Dash Upgrade que.

What the heck is going on with FORD! I want my car.

He just got a build date with the IUP (dash upgrade).

 

Saw that and the others after I posted my rant. Still a bit upset.

Welcome to the boards (i know, i'm a little late ). I'm originally from LS, and sorry to hear you're having problems with Bob Sight. Unfortunately, as you've probably seen by now, they're telling the truth. IUP orders have been hard to come by for quite a while now. Between part shortages, and pending litigation, I don't expect that'll change anytime soon

Whatever you do don't go to Extreme Ford in Overland Park. Their customer service is horrible. I ordered on 11/6 didn't hear anything from the dealer until 12/12 when they finally called with a VIN. Haven't heard anything until today when I emailed them from work. I have to email them and then they call my husband and not me. I was requesting the info not my husband!!

Too top things off, we have talked to Ford Customer Service several times since then and was told that we had a build week of 12/6 and that my car was definitely built.

Today the dealership tells us the car has not been built and isn't scheduled until 1/24/05. So I call Ford Customer Service again and this guy tells me the same thing the dealership did. I am so livid, I may not even buy the car at all. I've been without a car for two months and now who knows when or if I'll even get it.

Sorry had to rant about the lousy customer service!!

 

sounds like they sold the car out from under you and re-ordered.
