Buy or Lease
Now I have been looking but cannot find, with re to orders of 05 GT I am curious as Ford itself stands to make a lot of money through financing a vehicle , my query is if these type are any quicker as a result as to what they stand to profit by it and thus not wanting to loose the Sale ?
I was going to lease RCO, then trade in for a Cobra in '07 to sit next to my '67, but at 8% interest, I said H*LL NO! Even if I would have pre-paid the lease, Ford was going to charge 6% on the lease...for what?!?
Much to my wife's disapproval I bought with the lovely 3.75% rate, almost zero down was nice! Combined w/ the 1.65% interest earned by the Money Manager (Checking) Acct, my effective rate is down near 2%. I can live w/ that to remain liquid. Wife couldn't come up w/ good arguement against my plan (thank goodness).
It's hard telling people my car payment is more than my mortgage. At least it's only for 3 yrs.

leasing because of a couple of reasons. may not fit my needs in the future due to 2 kids, 3&1 year old. im pretty much leasing this car because i just have this desire to have a sports car after not having one since high school. call it mid life crisis even though im 38. i currently have a bmw X5 which i really love and i really dont need another vehicle but the new stang looks great for the money.if i like this car after 3 years i'll take it or get a new model or maybe ill just get over my itch.
