I finally got my build date of Oct. 25!!!!
I'm curious though, on average how long will it take to arrive at my dealer now since the shipping has officially begun? On a side note, things are getting pretty hairy up here for Mustangs!!! My dealer has already received like 6 calls from other dealers asking if mine has been sold or not!!! Glad I ordered early!!!

Sorry if this topic was discussed before (I did search, but didn't find anything the same), but I figured it would change now since they are actually shipping them. I mean, do they still hold them for a week or two after they're built, or will they be shipping them right off the line pretty much? I just can't wait since I actually have a date to look forward too now!!!

My GT has a build date of 10/25 as well. I talked with my dealer yesterday and he told me the last report he had showed a new build date of 10/23. Hmmm...from a Monday to a Saturday ( John at AAI said they were doing some Saturday shifts in Oct). I ordered on 9/23. I also have a VIN number assigned to my Mustang. Hopefully I will have it sometime in early November.

Allow LOTS of time for delivery, and don't bank on what Ford may tell you. This is based on personal experience, and after having read more forum posts than I would care to admit. Good luck !

Funny story, I walked into the local dealership tonight after doing the build and price on Ford's website, and saw that several local dealers had some showing in stock, and one had a redfire GT listed, so I figure I would stop by a pay a friendly visit to see if they were actually there or not, and pick up a brochure. So, I walk in and ask the sales guy if the 05 mustangs were in yet. He said not yet, but he'll get the schedule and check. So he goes and leaves for a minute. Two other sales guys walk by and are talking about the two shipments of cars they're getting tomorrow, and where to put them. So when the sales guy comes back, he says, "It looks like we're getting..." so I jump in and say, "A windveil blue AT V6, and a Red GT 5-spd on the 2 trucks tomorrow right?"
(long pause)
Salesguy: How the heck did you know that?
Me: I'm a psychic.
