Is the club for the brake any better than the club for the steering wheel? I know the steering wheel can be cut, but to do something similar for the brake club, the thief would have to cut either the club or the brake pedal. Anyone know if the club on the brake pedal works any better? I haven't heard or found anything on the net about whether the club for the brakes are any more effective.

Anyone know about this?

I stand by the notion that if a theif wants your car, he will get your car, so matter what you do to prevent a theft.

I have seen the brake club, but have not heard anything about it.
Every time I think of the club, I think of the story/joke of a thief who took the club off then beat the car owner with the club so he could get away.

Sounds like a pretty exclusive club, if you ask me.

That device that they put on the brake pedal really works!! My aunt lives up in NY somewhere up in the mountains and she had a brand new BMW 3 series. She is very protective of her car and she bought "i forget what the name of the product was, saw it a million times advertised on TV", well she drove down to Jersey to a family visit at my grandparents house up in Union City. She parked her car around the corner from my aunts house. Guy broke in, tried to steal it but couldn't cause of the device. he managed to get the car started! But couldn't move it cause it was an automatic and had to have the brake pressed in order to move the gear. Police came to the house, told her that her car was running and someone had broken into it. He busted out a few windows, and stole a bunch of her CD's and her cell phone charger. Thing really worked......

Sure, if a PROFESSIONAL car thief wants to steal the car, he/she will be able to do it. Not even a radio or a satellite tracking device will help, as those can be jammed. BUT, a 17 yr. old Joe Joyrider will find that a club or brake lock if beyond what he can handle. You might have a broken window, stolen CD's, etc, but it is WAY better than finding your car with no wheels, radio, broken glass and your insurance company refusing to write it off as total loss. I have a lock that covers the whole wheel, so that the wheel can't be cut. Those can be found on e-bay for 40-50 dollars or so. They are also available on skymall.com So, I say buy one. When a small amount of money decreases a chance of your car being stolen, that's a good thing.

Open up a can of wooparse and stay close to a 9mm. That usually does it.
