Battery Terminal Corrosion
I have been having problems with my battery terminal. It keeps getting corrosion all over the terminal. I've cleaned it with battery terminal cleaner, put vasoline in it, and even changed the battery but it keeps coming back. Can somebody tell me what I have to do to stop this corrosion?

On all my other cars I put these felt rings that are chemically treated to prevent corrosion on the battery posts under the terminals. You've probably seen these in the auto parts stores. There's no corrosion on any of my cars with these installed.

Haven't put them on the Mustang since I haven't had any problems with corrosion yet...

You might stop by a Sears and have them check you alternator. In the past when my negative terminal was corroding the diode was going bad ...
