Why would automatic door locks annoy someone?

Just wondering, do you guys actually like this feature? I've had it on other cars and if you ask me its the most annoying thing ever. Thank God they give you the option to disable it. Actually I don't like anything operating "automatic", dome light, headlights, doorlocks, radio, etc....
Just my opinion.

Oh, mine automatically unlock too.
On my T-Bird, if the door is locked and you try to open the door, the door unlocks and you can get out without unlocking the door. My '76 Mustang did that too. I like it. Not sure if there is any negative effects to this. As I have had them for several years with no problem, I do not know. I guess you could fall out while riding along - that almost happened to a buddy when he did not lock his door (he was a passenger in the back seat of a volvo though, going around a bend in the road, the door flew open).
