The arrival of my new 2005 GT is about a week away. The deal I have made includes the trade of my dearly beloved 2000 Harley-150. In spite of the fact that they gave me a very good deal I am concerned about ,what appears to be an ever growing list of threads dealing with early problems on the GT. I have not had any problems with the 150. What is your feeling. I should also mention that my dear wife loves the truck and worries that all 5ft. 2 in. of her will be lost in the passenger seat.

Ordered Dec 22/04 - Black GT, Charcoal Interior, IUP, Stock Wheels, Security Package, VIN Jan 23/05, Build Date Feb 14/05, Arrival Date...soon.

I feel for you. Selling your old car to buy a new one is always hard, and particularly so when you really loved your old car, like you and I both did. I had major anxiety int he months before I sold my car. It was my first new car, a graduation present, and the type of car every kid should have when they're young. Unlike you, however, I sold my car 3 months before I ordered my Mustang GT, and by doing so, it gave me time to get over some of the anxiety. Now, I have even more time because it's taking so long from ordering to receiving. I realized after a while that life is full of change, the only thing certain about life is uncertainity. That old car made you happy in one particular time of your life, and no matter how hard it is to move on, you have to. Besides, the times you had in that car will never come back again, and you have the memories. Create new ones with your new car.

I feel your pain. I sold my Harley (bike) and am trading in my Jeep. I never thought I'd get rid of either. But I think I'll still have those memories and a lot more fun in the '05 Stang. I never though I'd get rid of the bike, but after I got hit by someone not paying attention, some injuries and a short hospital stay, it changed things. I really didn't enjoy riding anymore, especially down here in SW Florida. I don't mean to sound like an old-fart, but it has gotten dangerous to be on 2 wheels when everyother car is a Grand Marquis being driven by someone wearing cataract glasses. Oh well, good luck with your decision.

I thought you mean't a bike as well! I was jumping in to tell you not to do it! Since you are just talking about a badged up truck, now that is different!

Just kidding. I got I rid of my F150 a while back as well. I miss it when I have to move stuff around. The mustand is almost as fun as my Harley, especially when the roads are all covered with snow, salt, sand, and other crap!!!
