I want to subscribe to one or two of the mustang magazines. Does anyone have a favorite? I'm sure this thread has been addressed before but I searched it and didn't come up with any info. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. If mods or racing is your taste, you might like 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords. Both of them are offered at discount rates at the Fun Ford Weekend shows. A free t-shirt is given as well per subscribtion. Both magazines are usually in the same booth.

If you join the mustang club of America, you get a great mag with that.

I subscribe to "Mustang Monthly" and "Mustangs & Fords". They have alot of restoration tips for my 65 in addition to performance.

Edit: They also have some beautiful early cars in every issue.

Mustang Enthusiast here. They seem to be devoting a lot of effort to the 05, which is cool.

It depends on what your taste are.
5.0 Mustang: Profesional Drag Racing w/ a LOT of ads (very little '05 coverage)
MM&FF: Drag racing w/ a LOT of ads.
Mustang Monthly: Mostly 64 1/2-73 with a lot of Fox coverage. GREAT magazine.
Mustang Enthusiast: Good mix of all years, but mostly newer stuff. Geared more towards road racing so it's the best mag for the average Mustanger.

I subscribe to M.E. I dropped my subscription to 5.0 when they came right out and said they wouldn't be covering the '05.
Best thing to do is pick up a copy of each one for 2 or 3 months and see wich you like best.

I think I'm going to take a ride to the Barns and Noble in town and check out their magazine section. It's huge and should have most of these magazines. Between reading the TMS forums and getting some of these magazines I'm hoping to learn a little more of the tech. stuff. So much I'd like to do to my pony but i'm not too good with the mechanical end of things. Trying to sift through all the info on tire sizes, exhaust systems, changing chips.....ect. Hubby knows some stuff but not enough to help too much

The amount of great information I get here helps alot! :worship:

Thanks TMS!

You get Mustang Times if you are a member of the Mustang Club of America. This is a great publication if your interests span all years and you like to do the Mustang shows. Like Mustang Monthly, in the past it was pretty heavily into the first generation cars but has expanded to include the restomod craze and later models. Decent coverage of the 05s but if 05s is all you want neither of these would be a great choice for you. Hemmings also has a Mustang only publication but it is very much geared to tech articles on restoring older cars.

Muscle Mustangs is first. 5.0 is second. I subscribe to both. I also have been picking up Mustang Enthusiest (fairly new magazine, only 20 issues so far) and occasionally, I'll pick up Mustang Monthly (mainly the old cars as folks have said). I've been reading Muscle Mustangs for the last 20 years or so. Well, pretty much since they came out. If my memory is correct, they used to be called "Super Fords" buth either merged with another magazine and changed their name or just changed their name some time ago.

Either way, they have been the gold standard for Mustang (and Ford) car magazines for me for a long time!
