Anyone using street-legal drag radials on a daily basis?
Just a couple quick questions for those using street-legal drag radials...
Do many of you put a pair on the back wheels of the car if it's only a fair-weather driver (driven when dry, maybe 1-2 times a week on local paved and city streets and on weekends to the track)? I understand the tread life will be really low, but I don't feel like jacking the car up every Friday to change the tires to go to the strip.
I asked a friend about an alternative, non-drag tire that had really good straight-line traction and more tire life, and he basically said, "anything soft and high performance." Looked online too and don't really have a good solution because there are too many options (BF Gforce series, Toyo Proxes, etc...). Any feedback?

I've got Nitto 555R Extreme II Drag Radials on the back of mine. Drive it every day ( that I am home ). Does that count? They handle better in the rain than the Pirelli's ever though of. I have also driven it in an ice storm and was actually quite surprised. Wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.
