I didnt know where to put this but I thought I'd try here.
From installing my B&M, i took this pic before me and my friend unbolted the stock shifter. It looks like a small metal piece or some kind of sleeve behind the hex nut on the shifter bracket.
Anyone know what these things are called or where I can get them??

These are part of the nut, they allow the bolt to be screwed in without a wrench on the nut. But as to actually what they are called

A little research shows this may come with the shifter remote control assy. You may want to get a hold at Kevin at Clevenger Ford he may be of more help. Scratch what I said before.

Have you tried your local Ford dealer? (in the parts department)
Or maybe even the service dpt. They might have some laying around.

Well I got the nuts, and I did happen to find one of them laying in the box, but the second one is gone. I brough the piece to 3 dealers already and they do not know what they are. so I am out of luck, I mentioned an Tooth Lock Washer, and they said no such thing.

You don't really need them. They are for assemby purposes at the factory. They hold the shifter assebly on the studs.
Makes it easier when they put the car together. They only come with a new shifter assembly. These cannot be purchased seperately.
Don't worry about them just put the nuts on and its fine.

I thought I heard they were called "speed nuts". You might be in luck, the other day I was at Pep Boys buying oil and just so happened to notice they had some of what you're looking for there. They may not have the exact size though. I futzed up the one that holds the airbox to the fender after repeated removals before going to the dealer.
